Experience

Current: Director of Forensics & Lecturer. School of Communication. Chair of the Environmental Caucus. Northern Arizona University. Flagstaff, Arizona.

ACADEMIC STATEMENT

I view communication studies as a way to thoughtfully analyze dominant structures of power and to then be able to profoundly reimagine the world around us through critical dialogue, and through effective and practical communication skills. Communication studies allows us to interrogate our constructed realities, which becomes more and more pressing in light of global conditions and economic systems, cultural interactions, and environmental concerns. My research interests focus on environmental communication, gender studies, media criticism and visual culture.
